Implementing a Confidentiality Incident Reporting Plan

Sections 3.5 – 3.8 of the revised ACT RESPECTING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR require all organizations who use personal data and maintain a National database in Canada to implement a security and privacy breach reporting plan, complete with a log of all breaches. This log must be available upon request by the CAI. Quebec represents 22.5% of the Canadian population so most National lists will consist of the PI of 20-25% of Quebec residents, therefore this Quebec act is in scope.
