William McCallum
Chair
Born and raised in Montreal, William holds a Master of Education from Queen's University and spent 30 years working in Ontario's education system. He and his wife Susan have owned and operated Falcon Ridge Inn B&B in Alma since 2017. Outside the board, William enjoys travel, hiking, cross-country skiing, and digging into family history.
Joanne Butland
Vice Chair
Born and raised in Albert County, Joanne is a retired local business owner who has always loved the freedom and beauty of this laid-back region. She's passionate about staying active in the community, whether that's biking, kayaking, or spending time with family. Most of all, she loves hanging out with her grandkids.
Kathy Weir
Treasurer
Kathy is a retired paramedic who came back to work because she loves the job and the community it connects her to. Her steady, detail-oriented approach carries over into her role managing CCRC's finances. In her downtime, she unwinds with puzzles.

Derek Lackey
Board Member
Derek and his wife Adrienne moved to Alma in 2021, drawn by the promise of real community involvement and a slower pace of life. A seasoned marketer and privacy professional, he's built and sold several ad agencies and currently chairs the Response Marketing Association while sitting on ISO governance committees for privacy standards. Derek is also a current Fundy Albert Councillor (Ward 1).
His family is spread wide - a daughter and five grandchildren in Orange County, California, and a son in Montreal.
Melanie Angbao
Board Member
Melanie Angbao immigrated to Canada in 2021 with her spouse, Kate Broyles and 3 young adult children. Kate and Mel currently own and operate The Maplegrove Inn in Riverside-Albert. Mel grew up in South Africa and immigrated to the US in 1997. She worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 25 years as a clinician, rehab manager and instructor. COVID proved to be a catalyst for wanting change and the whole family agreed to pursue a new life in Canada. We’re so glad we did! Riverside-Albert is a very special place and we want to be involved in this community to welcome others and ensure it remains a great place to live for generations to come.
Sean Blewett

Sean moved to Riverside-Albert from Sussex, NB three years ago and joined CCRC to help make the area even better. He was drawn in by what the committee was accomplishing and the community spirit it brings out in people. Sean is looking forward to getting involved in projects and getting to know the people who make up this community.

I moved to Riverside-Albert from Sussex NB 3 years ago. I joined the CCRC to do what I can to assist in making the area better. I liked what I saw the CCRC accomplishing and the community spirit it enhances. I am looking forward to working on projects and getting to know the people who make up this wonderful community!
Kate Broyles
Board Member
I moved to Riverside-Albert in 2021 with my wife and three adult stepchildren after purchasing The Maplegrove Inn. Before becoming an innkeeper, I worked as a pediatric occupational therapy practitioner and opened a small store primarily tailored to people with autism. Having been a lifelong resident of Indiana, I was amazed at how quickly the Fundy Albert region felt like home. When not hosting overnight guests or Tea events, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, photographing birds, and volunteering with various committees and organizations. I really enjoy being a part of this community and am appreciative of the opportunity to be on this board!
